I scraped a coconut for the first time.

We got lunch from the piggery in the back. Respectful thanks to that little piggy for providing us a lovely meal with friends and family.

Ella hung with her girls.

Isaac relaxed with his aunties.
Lita served an appetizer of papaya and coconut. She said it’s a winning combo, “like cheese and apples”.
After swimming and eating, Pae and Lita took us on a hike up the hill to the NOAA observatory station.

The views were beautiful.

Sister Pae welcomed us to come back when we want to escape the “hustle and bustle” of the west side of the island.

Gorgeous! You didn't answer me if there was a ceramics program over there. Let me know!
WoW.That's about all I can say. Wow. We done got inflatable lawn orn-ments fer Hal-o-ween here'n Kentucky, but we don't got NUTHIN' like that purdy view, what you got.Wow.
awesome! i love papaya, so eat some for me. Ahh, the simple island life. Doesn't seem like much "hustle and bustle" after I just spent an hour in the fabulous traffic of Portland today. I'm so jealous!
Yumm.. nothing better than umu pig dragged on the ground!!!

Beautiful place you live in Melinda.
Alex misses you like crazy. She showed me this blog and pointed at the pictures of the kids saying, "Look at my babies! They're growing up!" She's so excited about your blog!
Mel, what is your email again? I have your card somewhere, its just somewhere!
Reminds me a lot of Tonga when I was a kid. In spite of its beauty and seasons, sometimes Oregon really pales in comparison. Reading your blog, I laugh, I cry, I sigh. Miss you guys. Evie
