I haven't posted in awhile because my kids (particularly Isaac) think they exclusively own the computer and deserve rights to the mouse anytime I sit at the computer to do anything other than type in the password to their account, which is simple to remember but difficult for them to spell, and gets changed frequently to keep them locked out of the computer, since we can't turn the computer off at all anymore fearing that it may never return to life again due to the humidity situation here.
So Isaac spends most of his screen time at pbskids.org. He really likes Sesame Street, Super Why, and Word Girl. We had a Mr. Rogers kick for about a week, and we saw how sneakers are made. (Also check out Mr. Rogers with Stomp.) He likes listening to stories on Between the Lions. And lately he's been exploring the Quests on Cyberchase, although he can't read or do math. He found this game about patterns that makes us get up and dance.
Of course, I limit his computer time, we don't have a TV, he sets a timer, yada yada yada. It's hard to feel guilty about this automatic babysitter when the babysitter is Fred Rogers.
What do your kids do with their screen time?

I'm a screen time nazi. James only gets screen time to see family on Skype. (Of course, he isn't even 2 yet.) We have a tv but since French tv is so sad we never watch it. And we don't have a DVD player so we can't watch movies either.
Wow--it sounds like Xander might Love a chance at PBS.org, but I'm not sure if I'm ready to share my computer with a 4-yr-old. As of now, I only let him use "his computer" which is a "LaughTop" that has simple little type the falling letter games. But my kiddos do get some screen time watching DVDs from the library or from our meager collection, which includes Mighty Machines, Curious George, Thomas the Train, and a couple Barbie Princess movies.
Keegan loves the new 'Friend' website off of lds.org Strange, I know, but I let him play it on Sunday mornings when I put Kayden down for a nap before church so that I can get ready. The computer is in our bedroom, so I'm right here watching him. Most of the time he does a few puzzles and matching games and then listens to the scripture stories. You should check it out, we love it!
jackie, thanks for sharing! i really like the online friend. my kids can't wait to try it. isn't lds.org awesome?
