Beach Fun

We've upped our beach attendance lately. There are a few factors:
#1-I'm not pregnant anymore.
#2-The Monson's moved in and they're pretty much family-adventure addicts, and we love them.
#3-After a month on the mainland, I have beach catching-up to do.
#4-Since I've been back, I need beach therapy more often, to cope with life here.
#5-Although some may call this our "winter," the term doesn't apply. It's hot.

So here are some picture of recent excursions.

There's something about the saltwater and sand that tempers the soul.

The beach was our total sanity in California. We went all the time and I was always shocked to meet neighbors, ward members, for whom it was a couple times a year thing. Anyway, that said, there are no beaches here really. Even though Lake Michigan is huge, it doesn't really count somehow. Although the mainland has it's advantages, good schools, clean, nice old house, a job, after reading checking out Surfer mag website for 10 minutes, I was ready to move back. We are going home for a long Christmas break, which will be awesome, but it isn't quite the same.

Oh my eye candy, Melinda... I thought the first beach you showcased had to be the prettiest, but each one got progressively more beautiful. We just bought tickets home for the holidays, and posts like this are making it seem VERY worth the expense! I know that there are a lot of inconveniences in your life right now, and that it's probably an adjustment coming back to Samoa, but WOW! And so happy for you guys to have a new adventuresome family in your life. We'd probably do nothing if it weren't for friends who inspire us to go places and be movers and shakers...

I need some soul tempering. We'll have to start saving so we can come visit (if we'd be welcome?).

We miss you guys already. It was sure fun to see you this summer.
