Tuesday is Fruit Day

We pass six fruit stands everyday.  We would stop once in awhile, when I had cash handy.  At the beginning of this year, I made an arrangement with one of my fruit ladies:  once a week I give her $10 and she gives me a fair amount of the fruits I like.  She decided Tuesday, and thus Tuesday became our Fruit Day.  Now the kids look forward to it, and I always plan to have cash on that day.

It was going great until they bulldozed the fruit stand where my gal Alofa was.  I've asked around and I don't know where she sets up now.  But we carry on with Fruit Day.  There are lots of fruit stands, lots of farmers to support, and lots of bananas and papayas to eat.  Isaac and Ella take turns handling the money and the fruit.

Big papaya- $1
Bunch of mini bananas- $2
Pile of big bananas- $2

We all eat fresh bananas on the way home.
Happy Fruit Day

Aw, sad you lost your fruit lady! Good job enjoying all the tropical fruit you can eat and teaching your kids how delicious a ripe papaya can be! Even though they sell them here sometimes, we don't dare buy them!
