Ephraim did QUEST with ASCC Marine Science students during Spring Break. The students practiced underwater surveying techniques. It was a
great success.
They camped out in Faga’alu for a week. Ephraim let Isaac and Ella sleep over
with him in the tent a few nights.
Tents are a big hit with kids!

Owen thinks he’s a “bad guy” and is constantly tackling his older or younger brother. I’m not used to these boys tumbling around all day, but whatever, we just go with it.
I posted about our Cookie Dough Fundraiser at school. At our house we’ve been in cookie heaven, and now I’ve got 5 extra pounds to shed!

Here are my happy helpers on pizza duty.
On March 25th we celebrated the arrival of this
sweetie three years ago.

Even though he’s in a stage of tantrums, demands, and running away, I think everything he does is adorable! I can’t help it.
And this one started full-on crawling this month. He'll be one in May. He's the little Hoover vacuum eating all paper bits and crumbs on the floor. We've upped our sweeping to make things less interesting for him.
And finally, we had a visit from Eph's friend Kekoa for a week. Separate post for that.
March has been long, but good. And now on to April.

We just had a big student event this weekend for admitted students to the UNC School of Social Work (where I work) and I had the chance one morning to talk to a newly admitted student for a long time. Apparently he and his wife lived in AS for about 2.5 years or so, and he was shocked that I had heard of American Samoa, much less knew people there. His name is Mark Williams, for the sake of dropping names, and he thought he know all the Palagis on the islands, but didn't know you guys :-) Probably lots of mutual friends though. We talked about education, and how awesome you guys are, and he said maybe his wife had helped to deliver your children born there. She went to PA school at Duke and then was on a fellowship program to AS and worked at the Lindon B. Johnson hospital for a few years through that program. Such a small world! Love those shots of the kiddos in the tent. Have a great, and short April! xoxo
