When we go swimming lately, we go to Sliding Rock. It's on the southwest coast of Tutuila in the village of Taputimu (I think).

I soon learned how it got its name when I took one step and landed swiftly on my "cockix". The rock is covered with slippery algae making it fun to slide on, not fun to walk on.
So I wear my felt-bottomed tabis. (Tabis are Japanese fishing shoes with a toe septum for better balance. Ninja's wear them, too.) Here they are, on the wrong feet:
(Like the yellow and green? Go Oregon Ducks, Green Bay Packers, or Leone Lions.)

Sliding Rock is also a fun surf spot.

Please join us next time we go! Don't forget your tabis.

(Go OSU Beavers.)

SO FUN!! Aside from falling on your bum, that stinks! Man, I would love to just be able to jump in the ocean any ol' time. Does Ella love it? What a fabulously (is that a word?) beautiful place! And thanks for explaining what Ephraim does, I actually found it quite informative ;-)
WOW. That is amazing. I love the pictures. I'm getting pretty jealous. That sucks that we can't just come live there right now. :)
I wonder if you can put up with us for the whole summer.
