'O galu a Amerika Samoa
For those of you who are interested in these things, here are some pictures of the galu I've been riding. I didn't get to surf all of the days pictured, but have been able to surf some fun double overhead barrels here. The waves are not ridable when the tide is low and since I don't do dawn patrols, I get to surf about three days in a row every other week when the tide is high after work. And Saturdays if the surf is good. I'd upload some video if we had a faster connection, so pictures will have to do for now. Thanks to the other surfers on island for remembering to bring cameras to document this. I'll post more pictures as I get them.

*sigh* That is so incredibly beautiful. WOW.
I FINALLY found your blog! Melinda has posted a couple of times on mine but whenever I click the link back, it doesn't give me any info on your blog address or email address. Anyway, I'm so glad. It was great to be in the same ward with you for awhile. Hope you guys are doing well!
Dang. Now I really want to come visit. Those look very fun, especially the first few picts. That looks way better than Japan. And I'll bet there are more surfers out on a junk day here than at one spot than live on the entire island. You think I am exagerating, but I am not. In the summer, you could walk out to the break without getting your feet wet.
Those are incredible waves. Way bigger than the kind we see here in KY. And I have to admit something: it took me about 1/2 thru the post before I realized that it was Ephraim posting and not Melinda. I was thinking, "Holy Cow, she's taken up surfing too? Is there even anything left for her to do next?" I love having amazing friends.
Wait until Reed sees these. Only a surfer fan could completely understand the fascination with waves. While most of us say they are really pretty, but only a true surfer sees what they really are!! We miss you so much!
Wow, we are having some serious wave envy! Only three more weeks for us - until Hawaii! Hoping for some good sessions. Have fun!
