My mom, Ann Fillmore, is a super hero.
She fears no diaper, no matter how gross.
She prepares a dozen meals in one morning.
She endures stacks of library books.
She's washed every dish in the house, multiple times.
She beats me in card games (that's actually not hard).
She makes my project dreams come true.
She completes all my daily tasks plus her own to-do's with ease.
She lets me nap everyday.
She calms a screaming newborn,
she occupies a mischievous toddler, and
she engages a curious little girl
... at the same time.

This woman amazes me.
Thanks for coming, Mom! We love you and miss you so much.

does she coach younger mothers on how to be efficient? If so I'll go where ever she is and take classes
Love this post! That's the kind of grandma I want to be.
i'm sure she would give efficiency classes. i've observed her for years, and i'm still no where close to her capacity. i guess i know in theory how she does everything, but she just has more energy than anyone i know. she doesn't stop. it's amazing.
mirien, i'm sure you'll be that kind of grandma. you're already a superhero mom. being a superhero grandma will be natural for you.
It makes me tired just thinking about it! (Or it makes me want to have another baby so I can have Mom around!) :)
