Daily Days

This is pretty much how things look around here.

Ella loves Owen.

Isaac loves trucks.

Melinda loves finding Isaac putting on lipstick and mascara.

I have a theory that a mom pays a price for every indulgence. For example, I took an expensive 30 minute nap the other day. It cost me an hour of work and a bag of Hershey's kisses, because when I woke up I discovered a lovely mess waiting for me. The kids had ransacked my chocolate and cookies, leaving wrappers, crumbs and fingerprints. And Isaac had a stinky accident in his undies. It was fabulous.

Won't I be laughing about this someday?

Now to go see what my blogging indulgence has cost me...

Now, everyone else, who isn't a mother, would consider a nap a necessity, or relaxation. Indulgence indicates that everyone expects you to be selfless.
What kinda deal is THAT?!
Did I tell you how Eph insisted to me that 2 was the same as 1? (what were his grades like in math, I wonder?) How about 3? Same as 1?

Cute photos! That's quite a bouffant on Ella, and Owen looks just like Baby Melinda--complete with black look. Plus, your theory about the price of a mother's indulgences is spot-on. They even run amok when I'm trying to take care of necessities, like nursing le bebe or making dinner! Love youz.

Hey, logic may not always need to apply. For example, with my handwriting a 2 can appear to be a 1.

But yeah, 3 is a lot different. Mostly because Isaac is a lot more active than Ella was at his age. I may not made lightly of having two kids if Ella was a tornado.

Oh, but I've heard that after three, its all the same. (Not sure how the math works on that.) It's just that usually by then the oldest is old enough to help out some, unless they you have twins, or they're really close together. Anyways, so you guys are good to go, right.

Such a cute photo of Ella with Owen! I remember being five and thinking my youngest sister was MY baby. Couldn't understand why my mom kept taking her away from me! Too bad about the Hershey's. What's your address in Utah so I can send you some Nutella for when you're there this summer?

You're going to be in Utah this summer?? I'd love to meet up again and see your baby!

I got a great laugh from Isaac's make-up artist picture. That will be priceless one day, FABULOUS for blackmail.
