We woke up in Tekapo and found (you guessed it) a playground.
Soon we were on the road driving past some of the most beautiful scenery I've ever seen. Especially Mt. Cook over Lake Pukaki.
Eph did some off-roading for a better view.
We made it to Cromwell our next stop. It was a small town known for gold and fruit (but not really known at all.) Kids played at a park with zipline while I loaded up on holiday groceries.

We had a proper meal.
Acted out the nativity (improptu) and called it a night.
