Little Reader
After finishing Hop on Pop Ella said, "That book was SO long! I'm never reading it again!" She did a great job, though. We're happy for our little reader. Kindergarten is paying off!
That's so classic. Reading it awesome. Once it clicks though, it comes pretty quick. Teaching Miriam to read (in English, since we were in Japan for kindergarten) was like pulling teeth. "I think you're really going to like this once you figure it out." By first grade, we'd have to make her stop reading every once in a while and send her out to play. Since then, it's just gotten worse.
Paul has to be really convinced that it's going to pay off big to finish a whole book! Nathan and I are taking turns reading Harry Potter out loud to him, and now he'll pick up one of the books in the series and want to read through a few sentences himself.

yay, Ella! She'll be reading it so often that soon she'll have it memorized. :)
