Isaac is Four

For his birthday he got armor. He's been begging for this armor for weeks.
Now he can play out all the grand fights he imagines.

While I'm on the subject, Isaac has an imaginary friend named Martin. Martin lives the perfect life. He "gots" all the coolest stuff, he drives a car, he's seventeen years old (sometimes), and apparently he can do whatever he wants. Martin is so real to him that in his Primary talk on Sunday when he was telling a story about his friends, he had to mention Martin and even had me include him in the illustration. He has brown hair and blue eyes, btw.

Now Isaac's been telling us about Martin's Fat Friend. That's his name. And his life pretty much stinks. He's a bully. He's mean. But if he's Martin's friend, he's our friend too.

KayAngel is Isaac's superhero. He and his mate Charlie (a real boy) will yell, "Let's play Spiderman KayAngel!" So one of them is Spiderman, and the other is the amazing KayAngel, or KayRangel, depending on the day and situation.

Kay . . . Rangel . . .? Who knows.

But as my family can attest, I'm all for imaginary friends. Even Martin's Fat Friend.

Oh cute! Thanks for sharing that little insight into life from Isaac's point of view. He's so creative. Imaginary friends are good to have, especially when you're real friends are busy. But I'm glad he has real friends, too. :)
