Ella has sucked her fingers since she was 1 month old. I'm not worried about it quite yet, but I do think it's funny she found a way to draw her comfort habit.We have a home video of me at age 5 sucking my fingers too. My dad was cue-ing me to say, "I was going to stop sucking my fingers, but I haven't yet." To which i dutifully repeated, "I was going to stop sucking my fingers, but I HAVEN'T YET !!!!"
It's one of those classic lines your family never lets you live down.
So we'll see what happens with our little dear.

That's cute! Your story and her picture. I sure miss her eyes. Our littlest one sucks her left index/middle fingers and pulls on her right piggy tail with her right hand when she's tired. I hope she never stops...they're so fun when they're little!
I did suck my thumb until I was eight... ;P Malia just started sucking on hers occasionally. hrm..maybe I'd better nip it in the bud
James totally sucks his fingers too. If he didn't have them then I don't think he would be able to go to sleep. It is like a key. Put him in bed, fingers go in mouth, eyes close, snoring starts. At least it isn't thumb sucking. That isn't as cute on a 5 or 9 or 10 year old.
That is my favorite part of the whole video! :) You've got to admit that it's better than Jill's bottom shot, Shellie's dancing, and Katie trying to steal the show! Marcie's "stay tuned for Star Wars" is a close runner up! When Praise says my name, it sounds a lot like me from that video.
